The Utility Room

2021, collaborative sound work and exhibition, created with Keziah MacNeill

During lockdown we collaborated to make The Utility Room, an exhibition in our rented flat. Our practices both interact with control and measurement, and in the current climate, our flat also becomes an external force of control, challenging us to create and exhibit our work in our living space. The exhibition also offered the opportunity for adapted versions of our sound works - Notations of Future-Fixation and Residues of Customisation - to converse.

Printer paper, curtains, pinhole prints, acrylic ink, tap water, darkroom tools, clothes rail, kitchen stool, ladder, monitor, found metal, glass, steel frames, moving image, recorded voice, percussive noise, synthetic orchestra.
